Moderate Alcohol Consumption May Not Be Healthy

I hate reading articles like this.  They keep changing their minds what is okay and what is not okay.  One big problem is none of the researches are definitive.  It won't be long before a new research invalidates stuff and sets a new standard.  And let us not forget politics.  Consumers are sheep and whatever the government says goes.  In reality, the government knows that and bias exists in everything to say the least.

Remember pretty much every health study in the news over the last few years? The kind that suggested one or two drinks per day (for women and men, respectively) would help you live longer? The New York Times finds concerned voices saying that one doesn't necessarily lead to the other—or, put simply, "moderate drinking is just something healthy people tend to do, not something that makes people healthy." Worth the read, and worth remembering when you see yet another front-page take on this topic in a few months. [NY Times]
